About the Role:

We’re seeking a detail oriented and analytically skilled Manufacturing Specialist to support our Contract

Manufacturing Organization. The role will be responsible for driving production planning, operational

excellence, and day-to-day manufacturing operations at the contract manufacturing sites. The role ensures

efficient plant operations, adherence to manufacturing best practices, and strict compliance withquality,

safety, and regulatory standards in the specialty chemicals environment.

 

    Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand, inventory levels, and plant capacity
  • Oversee complete shop-floor operations including reactors, distillation, filtration, drying, and packaging to ensure smooth batch execution
  • Monitor production targets, yields, batch cycle times, and OEE to ensure timely delivery and optimal resource utilization
  • Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, GMP (where applicable), EHS standards, and statutory compliance requirements
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational bottlenecks; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield enhancement, cost reduction, waste minimization, and cycle time optimization
  • Coordinate closely with QA/QC for in-process checks and product release, and with R&D for scale-up and technology transfer
  • Work with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure high equipment uptime and preventive maintenance planning
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and ensure readiness for internal and external audits
 

    Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
  • 6–10 years of experience in production, manufacturing operations, or shop-floor management
  • Hands-on experience in batch manufacturing environments within specialty chemicals, fine chemicals, agrochemicals, or pharma API industries
  • Strong understanding of chemical processes, production planning, compliance requirements, and safety protocols
  • Experience in process optimization, yield improvement, and operational excellence initiatives
  • Ability to manage cross-functional coordination across QA/QC, R&D, maintenance, and supply chain teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with a results-driven approach
