We’re seeking a detail-oriented and analytically skilled Manager/Senior Manager - CDMO Sales to lead business development and sales initiatives for Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) services in the specialty chemicals segment, including fine chemicals, intermediates, and performance ingredients. The role focuses on identifying, developing, and managing strategic customer accounts, building long-term partnerships with innovators and specialty chemical companies seeking outsourced manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Sales Growth • Identify, pursue, and secure new CDMO opportunities in specialty and fine chemicals (personal care actives, home care, flavors & fragrances, pharma intermediates, agrochemical, performance materials, etc.). • Drive the end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and deal closure. • Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies aligned with company objectives. • Achieve revenue, margin, and customer acquisition targets.

2. Customer Relationship Management • Build and nurture long-term relationships with global customers (R&D, sourcing, and business heads). • Act as a single point of contact for customer communication, ensuring transparency and responsiveness. • Coordinate technical and commercial discussions between customers and internal crossfunctional teams (R&D, process development, regulatory, and operations).

3. Strategic Account Management • Develop Key Account Plans for top customers to ensure repeat and multi-project business. • Conduct regular account reviews, track project progress, and identify upscaling or new collaboration opportunities. • Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve service offerings.

4. Market Intelligence & Strategy • Monitor trends in specialty chemicals and custom manufacturing markets globally. • Map competitive landscape, pricing benchmarks, and emerging customer segments. • Provide market insights to senior management for strategic decision-making (new capability investments, partnership models, etc.).

5. Commercial & Contract Management • Work closely with legal and commercial teams to structure proposals, contracts, NDAs, and MSAs. • Lead commercial negotiations balancing profitability with long-term relationship building. • Ensure smooth project handover to operations and monitor delivery milestones.

6. Cross Functional Collaboration  Liaise closely with internal teams — R&D, process engineering, project management, regulatory affairs, and operations — to ensure project feasibility and timely execution. • Represent customer interests internally and drive a customer-centric culture. • Support senior leadership in forecasting, budgeting, and strategic reviews.

Qualifications:
• Educational Background: B.Tech / M.Tech / M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• Professional Experience: o MBA in Marketing or International Business (preferred but not mandatory). o 6-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or key account management in CDMO / CRAMS / specialty chemicals / fine chemicals industries. o Proven experience in handling international clients (US, EU, Japan, etc.) in B2B chemical manufacturing services. o Deep technical understanding of chemical process development, ROS Stabilization, scale-up, and regulatory compliance.
• Technical/Commercial Skills: o Deep understanding of specialty chemicals, intermediates, and CDMO value chains. o Strong grasp of chemistry, process technology, and manufacturing capabilities. o Experience with techno-commercial proposals, pricing, and cost modeling.
• Business & Leadership Skills: o Strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities. o Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. o Customer-oriented mindset with high responsiveness. o Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects globally. o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
